BackgroundDoug, a native of Northampton, Massachusetts, graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts degree both in Sociology. In 1977 Doug joined the Admission Office at Vassar College where he served as an Admission Officer until 1980 when he returned to the University of Massachusetts, Amherst to serve as the Director of Alumni Relations. Since 1982, Doug has been involved exclusively in recruitment, selection and executive search. Doug's presentation and communication skills combined with his extensive track record in executive search enables him to work with senior managers to help define, find and place the right candidate for your hiring need. Doug is a nationally recognized speaker at conferences on the subject of creative and effective recruiting solutions. He is a member of the Board of the New England Executive Resources Council (NEERC) and helped in establishing a Boston chapter of the International Association of Corporate and Professional Recruiters (IACPR). As a hobby, from 1980 through 1992, Doug
served as a free lance on-air sports announcer for NBC Sports, ESPN and TBS/Turner
Broadcasting System. Highlights of his on-air television announcing assignments
included working for NBC Sports at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, South Korea and
for Turner Broadcasting System at the 1986 and 1990 Goodwill Games. Professional Organizations
